March 22: Gluten-Free Comfort Foods (hands-on cooking class) @New Leaf Community Market, Santa Cruz, CA 6:00 p.m.

Join Chef Amy Fothergill for this hands-on cooking class where you will learn to make classic comfort foods from scratch! All recipes will be gluten-free as well as dairy free. On the menu: fresh bread, clam chowder, spinach lasagna with macadamia ricotta, beef meatloaf (grain-free) with mashed potatoes, and carrot cake for dessert! Click here for more information.

March 25: Gluten-Free Baking Basics (hands-on cooking class) @Walnut Creek Recreation, Walnut Creek, CA 1:00 p.m.

 Students learn the basics of gluten-free baking which includes how to blend their own gluten-free mixes, convert recipes, and avoid cross contamination of equipment and ingredients. Students will learn how to make recipes for muffins, cookies, and a pie crust.  Click here for more information.

April 1: Gluten-Free Day (demos, lectures, and samples) @Blackhawk Draeger's, Danville, CA 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Learn about how you can take control of your health through diet changes. The event will be a combination of lectures, demos, and vendor samples. Chef Amy will demo Simple Paleo Recipes around 10:45.  Click here for more information.
